What Is The Best Business Credit Card To Get For An eCommerce Business Owner? (And Why International sellers should get one too!)

If you give us 10 minutes, we will show you how you can earn over 2,400 dollars in the first 3 months of your business…

Just for opening a credit card and spending your normal amount on your business.

How cool is that?

We are going over how powerful applying and using a business credit card for your eCom business is.

We will discuss how U.S. and International sellers can apply for a business credit card.

After you can establish a business LLC and business bank account for your business, you should start applying for any business credit cards available on the market.

We will offer some of our favorite business credits for com owners, and we will breawillreat the sign-up Bonus these cards offer and, more importantly, the important categories these cards reward you for that directly benefit com owners out there.

So let’s get right to it.

Why Bother With Credit Cards In The 1st Place?

So first, let’s talk about the Power of Credit Card and what it represents.

For U.S. sellers, you have been privileged as the incredible U.S. credit card point system rewards you for buying things you normally would, such as groceries, restaurants, flights, and hotels.

You will be amazed by our foreign sellers watching because, from my understanding, most of Europemostand the Middle East don’t have the Eastedit card in place.

And even if they do, they are not nearly as rewarding as far as the credit card point system as their U.S. counterparts.

So to get a hand on a U.S. credit card is very special and extremely rewarding as the points for business spending add up quickly, definitely much more individual spending, and they translate into credit card points.

This ultimately means you get to redeem them for free business/first class flights, 4/5 stars hotels, and all sorts of experience concerts. Also, it can be a statement credit sometimes on your bills if you need it to be.

Some other benefits include it will help you establish Credit…as you may steady payments…Build Points…Create a loan facility opportunity as a Credit card gives you 30 days to make better cash flow payments…..

And reward you for spending money that is the biggest business category. You should aim for cards that specifically fit your business model…

Our #1 Recommendation Is The Business Platinum Card for American Express.

The Business Platinum Card is best suited for small business owners who charge thousands of dollars in monthly business expenses to their cards, are regular travelers (during normal times), and can take advantage of all the card’s excellent benefits.

Membership Rewards points are worth 2 cents apiece.

So, if you can manage the hefty $15,000 spend requirement to earn the 125,000-point offer, you’ll earn points worth about $2,500 toward travel.

As for benefits that come in handy once you reach your destination, this card gives you Gold status with Hilton Honors and Gold Elite status with Marriott Bonvoy, which provides better earnings and benefits during stays with these two brands.https://freecashflow.io/blog/best-business-credit-card-ecommerce-businesses/

You can get elite-type perks at other hotels through Amex’s Fine Hotels & Resorts program.

5X Points for Flights and Hotel

$200 Airline Fee Credit

eCom Bonus: 5x points on SSShipping, wireless cell phone, office supplies, gas, and advertising expense (Facebook and Google ads)

Is the Amex Business Platinum a good fit for your business?

The Amex Business Platinum Card offers one of the most valuable welcome offers on the market. As such, any business that can hit the $15,000 spending requirement should seriously consider this card.

But if we dig a little deeper, we can see that only specific types of customers will benefit in the long run.

Although qualifying for this card may be easier than you think, much about this card screams “established businesses.”

For starters, a smaller and newer company might struggle to meet the $15,000 minimum spending requirement, and the last thing you would ever want to do is jeopardize your company’s finances in the name of travel rewards.

Add in the limited bonus categories, and many small businesses will have trouble maximizing this card after year one.

Annual Fee: $595

The next one on the list is a personal favorite of mine and the card I have in my wallet from my Shopify days.

It is the Chase Ink Business Preferred Credit Card…

Impressive sign-up Bonus

With the Ink Business Preferred Card, you’ll get 100,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points after you spend $15,000 in the first three months. Ultimate Rewards points are among the most valuable points currencies around, and the Bonus is worth $2,000

Useful bonus categories for small businesses

Not only are Chase Ultimate Rewards some of the most valuable points, but the Ink Business Preferred Card also enables you to accumulate them quickly with multiple bonus categories.

  • All other purchases earn one point per dollar.

If you maximize your bonus earning capabilities, that’s 450,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points each year!

AMEX Business Gold Card

Earning Valuable Membership Rewards Points: Membership Rewards points earned on this card are some of the most flexible and valuable points you can earn — and there are plenty of ways to earn them.

Earning rewards may not be the only reason you decided to acquire a business credit card, but it’s always near the top of the list of card benefits.

That’s because rewards can help offset bottom-line costs such as travel expenses or even fund an annual vacation you’d otherwise pay cash for.

A Generous Welcome Bonus — [$1,540]

While welcome bonuses vary, a 70,000-point welcome bonus can deliver tremendous value, according to our latest valuations. You can earn the Bonus by meeting minimum spending requirements within the first 3 months after card approval.

Accelerated Earnings in 2 Business Spending Categories — [$4,400]

Six business expense categories can earn 4x Membership Rewards Points per dollar spent. Earnings are applied automatically each statement period based on your 2 highest expenses.

  • Airfare is purchased from airlines directly.
  • Online, T.V., and radio advertising purchased from U.S. media
  • Select technology purchases of computer hardware, software, and cloud solutions from U.S. providers
  • Purchases at U.S. gas stations, restaurants, SSShipping

If your business spends $50,000 in 4x bonus categories annually, you’ll earn 200,000 Membership Rewards points worth approximately $4,400.

$150,000 Bonus Spending Limit

You can earn 4x points per $1 spent on up to $150,000 in total purchases for all 4x qualifying business bonus spending categories each calendar year.

Elevated Earnings on Amex Travel Purchases — [$440]

Qualifying purchases made on Amex Travel using the card receive 2 Membership Rewards points per dollar spent. If you were to spend $10,000 on travel, you would earn 20,000 Membership Rewards points on your purchases.

Unlimited Earnings on Every Purchase — [$440]

All purchases earn at least 1 Membership Reward point per $1 spent, including bonus category spending that exceeds the annual $150,000 limit. There is no limit on how many points you can earn. If your business spent just $10,000 in non-bonus category spending or on 4x bonus purchases above $150,000 in a calendar year, you would earn 20,000 Membership Rewards points.

Sign-up Bonus: $70,000 Membership points after you spend $10,000 in the first 3 months.

Worth $2,000!

  • 4X Points on the two business categories you spend the most on:

Travel

Paid Advertising

Software

Gas

Restaurants

Shipping

  • Instant Connection to Quickbooks
  • Add up to 99 employee cards for a flat annual fee of $50 (total, not per card)
  • Secondary car rental loss and damage insurance, baggage insurance, and extended warranty coverage.

Annual Fee: $295

Recommendations For Foreign eCommerce Sellers

For our Foreign sellers, the first card you guys get might not be one of these amazing ones because they will require some credit history from you before believing that you will be the type that makes the payment on time.

So I would apply to any card for you guys out there.

Use your banking relationships; for example, if you are banking with Bank of America, I would start with them as you already have a bank account with them, so they will likely approve your credit card as well since they know you have a good amount of cash in their banking system. Hence, they are more likely to trust you more…

After that, just start making regular payments there, and eventually, after a year, you will build up enough Credit to open up any card you want.

When this happens, then go ahead and try applying for one of the 3 cards mentioned above.

Hopefully, this video has given you some clarity and some definitive benefits of having your business credit card to run your business.

Just think about how many ads you spend in your business, multiply it by a point factor above, which can be 3x or 4x, and you will realize how many points you could be accumulating now!
